Series M Cast Metal Pumps

Granzow Cast Metal Series M Diaphragm Pumps
Cast Iron & 316L Stainless Steel Air-Operated Diaphragm Pumps

Sturdy cast metal construction ensures high abrasion resistance when pumping abrasive media, a low flow resistance due to the high surface finish, availability throughout a wide temperature range, excellent corrosion resistance, and a long lifetime.

In combination with the well-established control system, these compact and powerful cast metal pumps are easy to transport and are therefore used as both mobile units or stationary equipment. During the development of the pumps, great attention was paid to service friendliness, in order to minimize downtime.

Features & Benefits

Cast metal pumps are used in paint, varnish, automobile, waste water, ceramic, porcelain, mining, building and chemical industries. More than 20 models with different sizes and designs are available to serve almost any type of application.

Due to the use of stainless steel clamp bands, these cast metal pumps are clearly distinguished from other air-operated diaphragm pumps. They can be easily disassembled without any special tools, and keep the diaphragms evenly clamped.

Special emphasis should be paid to the modular design, which leads to a reduction in the number of spare parts that must be stocked. Granzow's cast metal pumps can be fitted with a vast variety of accessories, depending on the applications they are used for.

All cast metal pumps are standardly equipped with aluminum air center blocks. For industrial applications (as well as for other applications in which the environment or media is not suitable for aluminum), types CX and SX provide a center block in bronze or stainless steel.

Double-acting, positive displacement Series M pumps operate with two alternating pumping chambers. The compressed air which drives the unit is admitted through a control valve, to the rear of each diaphragm in turn, so displacing the medium from alternate pumping chambers. Since the two diaphragms are connected by a common piston rod, suction always occurs in one chamber while discharge occurs in the other.
