The new GC Central Chiller has convenient modular capabilities which grow as your business grows. Sterling's GC Series Central Chiller modules offer 70-210 kW (20-60 tons) of refrigeration; available in either water or remote air-cooled models, you can assemble these modules to provide over 1,000 kW (300 tons) on your time.

Sterlco SWK Winter-Kooler Systems
WinterKooler System

Benefits & Features

WinterKoolers can be used in areas that have low ambient temperatures (below 10 degrees F). The chiller is replaced by the SWK Winter-Kooler during those times when the temperature is below the rated ambient of the chiller. The SWK could replace the chiller anytime the ambient is below 40 degrees F and can typically pay for itself in less than 18 months (depending on usage time and electrical costs).

  • Energy-efficient fan motors; direct drive fans rotate at 1,140 rpm
  • Thermal overload protection and permanently lubricated ball bearings
  • Fan motor leads wired to weatherproof electrical enclosures for single-point field wiring
  • Fully baffled fan sections for structural strength; prevents fan windmilling during OFF cycles
  • Automatic pump switchover

Benefits & Features

The Standard PLC Screen has Chilled water pumps variable 1 to 3 process pumps and recirculation pumps. In systems with multiple pumps, they may be altered at specific intervals. The standard PLC Screen also has Network capability over DH-485 to communicate with a chiller with the Advanced Control Package. The Advanced PLC Screen has alarm condition indicators for safety devices including motor overloads (compressor or pump), flow switches, freezestats, refrigerant pressures, voltage/phase sensor, high and low temperature alarms. The Advanced PLC also comes with hour meters to accumulate run time in compressors or pumps. Chilled water pumps: Variable 1 to 3 process pumps and recirculation pumps. In systems with multiple pumps, they may be altered at specific intervals.

Benefits & Features

With scoll or screw compressors, the latest in rotational compression technology is offered. Scrolls use 50% fewer moving parts than reciprocating compressors, resulting in unparalleled efficiency, reliability, and noise reductions. Hermetically sealed scroll compressors (SSC) or semi-hermetic screw compressors (SCW) Very compact and efficient, these stainless steel units can withstand freezing conditions with brazed plate evaporators. Water regulating valves are used for water cooled units to regulate the flow of water through the condensor for stable system operation (scroll only). A perimeter welded-steel frame provides one-piece construction to minimize vibrations and includes convenient fork lift slots for easy maneuvering. Epoxy-coated heads are easily accessible from the front of the unit to provide quick and easy cleaning of tube condensers. A standard Allen Bradley Micrologix PLC Screen provide control up to 2 compressors in 2 circuits (screw models) or up to 4 compressors in 2 circuits (scroll models). Alarm condition indicators for safety devices including motor overloads (compressor or pump), flow switches, freezestats, refrigerant pressures, voltage/phase sensor, and high and low temperature alarms. Hour meters accumulate run time in compressors and/or pumps.
