Armstrong Washdown Accessories

Flow indicators are designed to monitor gas, air, oil, water and other liquids at both maximum and minimum flow rates. The action is simple and highly visible. Flow through the unit makes the white ball oscillate in the dome. If the flow stops, the ball drops out of sight. The movement of the ball cannot be missed, even in poorly lighted areas and at significant distances. With only one moving part - the ball - there is virtually nothing to go wrong.

Sizes and Models

The standard ball-type flow indicator is made in 1/2", 3/4" and 1" (15, 20 25 mm) NPT-compatible sizes, with a die-cast brass body and a shatter-resistant borosilicate dome. The indicators are suitable for temperatures up to 180°F (82°C) and pressures up to 100 psi (7 bar).

The 1/2" (15 mm) indicator is supplied as standard with special high-temperature joint rings and a glass-filled PTFE Teflon ball, permitting use at temperatures up to 250°F (120°C).

The high-pressure model of the 1/2" (15 mm) indicator has an aluminum-bronze body and high-pressure cap assembly for pressures up to 300 psi (21 bar). It also contains a high-Armstrong Flow Indicatorstemperature ball for up to 250°F (120°C).

A stainless steel version of the 1/2" (15 mm) indicator is made with a Type-316 stainless steel body, a high-temperature ball and Teflon joint rings. The unit can be used with maximum pressures of 100 psi (7 bar) and maximum temperatures of 250°F (120°C).

Hose Racks

Armstrong Hose Racks Models 041 and 041R

Model 041R

The stainless steel replacement hose rack mounts easily. This heavy-duty polished 304 stainless steel hose rack holds the weight of any standard wash-down station hose. All replacement racks will fit every Armstrong Steamix and water mixing units along with the hose.

Model 041

The stainless steel satellite hose rack is constructed with integral mounting brackets for easy mounting in a location near or far from the mixing valve source. This heavy-duty polished 304 stainless steel hose rack holds the weight of any standard wash-down station hose.

Hose Reels

Model 047-82 and 047-1 and 047-82SS and 047-SS Hose Reels

047-82 Hose Reel

This red spring-retractable hose reel is for use with all Armstrong hose station assemblies. Its wider dual-pedestal base provides maximum strength, and the guide arm is field-adjustable for wall, floor or ceiling mounting. The compact reel will hold up to 75' (22.8 m) of 3/4" (20 mm) washdown hose.* Included are an adjustable hose bumper stop to maintain the desired length of hose outside of the reel and 4' (1.2 m) flexible adapter hose from hose reel to hose station. The 047-82 supersedes the 047-1.

047-82SS Stainless Steel Hose Reel

This hose reel is the same as 047-82, but it is made from stainless steel for applications requiring maximum corrosion resistance. The 047-82SS supersedes the 047-SS.

Washdown Hose

Model 035 Armstrong heavy duty washdown hose

Armstrong's heavy-duty wash down hose is recommended for water temperatures up to 190°F and working pressures up to 400 psi (87.7°C and 28 bar). Designed to handle the intensities of the industrial environment, 035 hose is supplied in standard lengths of 25' and 50' (7.6 m and 15.2 m), with custom lengths available upon request.

Each hose assembly has a standard 3/4" (20 mm) live male swivel fitting at supply/inlet and a 1/2" (15 mm) live male swivel at the spray/outlet. Each fitting has a one-piece hose barb with a ferrule that is pressure-crimped to resist detachment during use. The supply or inlet end is protected by an anti-kink spring guard and reduces hose fatigue at a primary stress point.

The 035 hose is supplied as standard in Armstrong "safety yellow," but it may be ordered with different specifications that alter temperature and pressure ratings. Hoses are also available in red, black, green or white.

 

Spray Nozzles

Armstrong 038TG Washdown Spray Nozzle

038TG Spray Nozzle

Model 038TG (Trigger Guard) has been designed to address several high temperature washdown issues and concerns.

Ergonomics. Ergonomically designed trigger guard and handgrip with front mounted spray activation trigger reduces hand fatigue.

Heat. The 038TG nozzle is rated to 200°F (93°C). The application of high tech industrial polymers reduces heat transfer through the hand grip so user comfort and protection are increased.

Safety. Unique cover design is highly durable and prevents the front mounted spray activation trigger from discharging if the nozzle is dropped.

Spray direction. A well-defined nozzle end and an ergonomically designed trigger guard and handgrip reduce the potential for self-directed discharge.

Spray volume. Delivers up to 5 gpm at 50 psi (3.3 bar) maintained inlet water pressure.

Durability. The rugged, shatter-resistant polymer housing resists chemicals and heat significantly when compared with standard rubber-covered equipment.

038 Spray Nozzle

The 038 nozzle is suggested for washdown applications below 140°F (60°C). It comes with a black, heavy-duty, field-replaceable cover. The rear trigger reduces operator fatigue, and the unit conforms to the familiar spray nozzle design common in many facilities. The nozzle is also available in white. [Weight: 2-1/2 lb (1.1 kg)
